Silver brackets and fun colors aren’t for everyone. If you want more discreet orthodontics but aren’t a candidate for Invisalign® treatment, clear braces are for you! Dr. Jorgensen offers 3M™ Clarity™ Advanced Ceramic Brackets to transform your smile without the noticeable metal brackets.

  • Most cases that are too complex for Invisalign® treatment can be treated predictably with clear brackets

  • Invisalign® treatment might not be practical for all patients due to the requirement of wearing aligners for at least 22 hours per day. If this applies to you, clear brackets are a great esthetic alternative

Are clear braces faster than Invisalign®?

Not necessarily. Your teeth move in response to forces placed upon them. Teeth cannot detect whether force comes from a wire or from a plastic aligner. All other things being equal, treatment time with clear braces should be very similar to treatment with Invisalign® clear aligners.

Do clear braces cost more than metal braces?

No. Although fun colors and silver braces are popular among many of our patients, there are those who would prefer something a little more subtle. For those patients, we can provide cosmetic brackets on the top front teeth that others see at no extra charge. The only time we charge more is if a patient desires ceramic brackets on all teeth. In this case, we do charge a little more to cover the additional cost of the brackets.

How long is treatment with clear braces?

Depends. The length of treatment, regardless of the technique employed, is determined by the complexity of the problem. Therefore, treatment time could range anywhere from 6 months to 3 or more years.
